welding almunium alloy(Al6061) and stainless steel(SS 304) using laser arc hybrid welding could be possible, but it requires carefull parameter optimization and consideration of material challenges to achieve reliable, and strong joints
In this context, we need to consider the melting points of both materials. As the melting point of steel is much lower than aluminium, (I am sorry, I haven't worked with these exact materials) in general, I would prefer bolts but for welding, make sure to preheat the aluminium surface (side where welding is to be performed) to around 300-400 degrees lower than its melting point. Weld it then and calibration of perfect welding temperature can be achieved by trial and error.
