Is it possible to store mamalian tissue at -80 for two weeks before doing lyophilization?

I will perform protein extraction from mamalian tissue,i stored them overnight at -80 c before doing lyophilization. My question is, will they be affected if I store them for two weeks and then I start with lyophilization?

Immersing tissues in small fragments (not wet) in liquid nitrogen first and then store in -80 C.
