Dry ice may be stored in non-air-tight chests or buckets made from insulating foam to help slow the rate of sublimation. Dry ice will sublimate at any temperature above -109.3 degree F. The rate at which it sublimates can vary considerably depending on the quantity and form of dry ice.
When placing Dry ice in super cold freezers to maintain temperature, you must limit your time in the freezer. Remove the Dry ice from the plastic and place free standing in the freezer.
Please take proper precautions while storing Dry ice. Never store it in a sealed container as the sublimated CO2 gas will sink and can be dangerous. If airtight, it can make a dry ice bomb causing the container to explode.
You may store Dry ice for 24 hours. Storing it for 3 days may be a bit too long.
