Drying the synthesized graphene oxide solution is an important step in GO preparation process and there could be a risk for partial reduction of the sample. Although there are several drying procedures for avoiding the reduction, i'm looking for a possible way to regenerate GO from rGO in case of failure of the initial drying step.

Hello,
As mentioned above freeze drying the graphene oxide dispersion will stop the reduction process efficiently. To re-generate GO from r-GO you can consider using oxidizing agents, however getting a good yield will be challenging.
