Thank u guys, Have been working on IBM for a week (Couldn't come online) . As u guys rightly said It's difficult to implement it. But fluent has a add on package for immersed boundary method develeoped by cascade technologies .

I wonder how these guys figured out how to implement IBM in fluent.

In openFoam its possible , but I'm not familiar with it !

To my knowledge, CFX has the Immersed Boundary method.

In my opinion it is not possible. 

I guess, you can not use cartesian meshing using any Commercial package. But, still kindly check with their respective forums.

There is a possibility of using this methodology in Open Foam.

I don't think its possible as FLUENT employs a mesh that  is conforming to the body, whereas IBM relies on exactly opposite.

I think the commercial CFD software (i.e., FLOW-3D) using a similar method  (FAVOR) like IBM. You can have a try!

I don't think that you can use IB in fluent . As the IB method requires Eulerian and Lagrangian space declaration and force transformation in Laplacian space between the fluid and the elastic body you consider. As far my knowledge is concerned FLUENT is based on Euler based as the CFD solvers usually are.
