Is it possible to detect micro RNA (miRNA) from stool samples regarding work other than cancer?

I want to check the expression two miRNA's from stool samples derived from small intestinal tight junction. Other papers have worked with blood and intestinal tissue biopsy. Can miRNA be expressed in stool?
