I do research on intertidal fishes. In our recent survey, we found a species of intertidal fish that is a new record in our region and is also known as an invasive species.

The species is invasive in one ocean and is native in another ocean, so the invasion range and native range have no overlap.

Is it possible to define whether the species is invasive or native to the new region that has been recently recorded using SDM?

I mostly use Maxent and BioOracle datasets

Although I have a couple of ideas for doing this, but couldn't find any related research.
