I would like to analyse trial by trial mean amplitude of sensory stimulus evoked EPSP responses (40 trials). For the moment I have peak amplitude. But I would like to know if it is possible to collect mean amplitude using clampfit?
You have 40 EPSP response and you want to obtain average amplitude of all events. Am I right? If it is so, it is possible. All you need to perform is to create a template in Clampfit. After creating a template, you can obtain an average response by searching this template in your data. To create a template bring your cursors ( 1 and 2) on a response, later click "Event Detection, and Create template", you can also obtain a good and smooth template by adding several response, and save it. After this step, click again "event detection" and template "search", and select all response that you want ( for accept, click A; for reject click R). Later save the file, now you have sweep mode in data. After all these steps, open the saved file, and click "analyze", and "average traces". Now, you can obtain an average response of 40 trials. I hope this would be useful for you.
