I'm completely new at electrophysiology, however I managed to have some data and now I need to process it. I've been looking for some protocol or paper that can explain more in detail how to make my data to look cleaner but until now everything I have found is probably too advanced for me because is making me more confused, so if anyone have some info that could share would be amazing.
I am doing whole-cell configuration with a step protocol, measuring calcium currents in HEK cells if that helps.
PS. The experimental part is done, I just want to process and analyse my data (I'm using PClamp (clampfit))
What do you want to look cleaner? Do you have an example problematic trace to show? Is it noisy? Averaging (or median) same-amplitude steps is a good way to reduce noise.
One might use filter built in Clampfit. Also calcium current in HEK could have been small
