Is it possible to apply iontophoresis in polymeric buccal films? Also, can I use a silver wire as an anodic electrode?

I would like to know if using a silver wire as an anodic electrode can impair the experiment due to electrode wear? The experiments are going to be performed using a current of 1mA/cm^2 by 1hour.
