Hope you are okay!

In order to operate the PV source at its maximum power point irrespective of the load you have to use an resistance transformer. The most appropriate resistance transformer is the the DC/DC converter.

If you can accept consatnt voltage operation for charging your battery then you can use low drop out regulators. You can choose from the data sheets od such regulator the one which is suitable to you.

But, Is it possible to maintain MPPT while NOT USING an boost converter. I searched some papers but could not find if anyone has published charging battery WITHOUT using a buck-boost converter.

In my work, I am searching a method to maintain MPPT while charging WITHOUT using buck-boost converter. If it is possible.

I feel that you have to examine detail specifications of boost converter or buck-boost converter for efficient operation, without mismatch.
