Our Lab's FTIR knob broke. Can it give right results without the knob touching the polymer just by the diamond sensor in FTIR?
You can use some stainless steel piece to cover and press the sample .
Main utility of knob is to press the sample so IR can pass and to avoid interference of atmospheric vapours.
