It depends on the topic, the editor in question and when. I have published with them in March 2021.
1. The topic (frailty in senior citizens) is among the top most in the field.
2. The editor was authentic (an associate professor in neurosciences at a reputable research centre) and active in research.
NOTE: Beware, IntechOpen was among 'predatory' platforms in the past. However, they have made substantial changes (including compliance with COPE - Committee on Publication Ethics) as of 2019.
So, if you are looking for a publisher with good 'past' track record, then IntechOpen may not count. However, if you look for an up-to-date platform with 'notable peer review' mechanisms for 'open access' books, I can bet for them.
