Eye is indeed window to the brain and also gives clues to identify many other systemic diseases if carefully observed.

Age-Related Macular Degeneration is also called Alzheimer's of an Eye as it shares many clinical and pathological features with Alzheimer's disease (AD).

Recently, many biomarkers have been identified for an early diagnosis of Alzheimer's in an eye like

• Decreased thickness of Nerve Fibre Layer
• Increased Choroidal thickness
• Larger diameter of veins

Those all may help in early detection, also these tests are relatively easy to perform by the means of an Eye OCT, and in this way it may help us to prevent morbidity related to Alzheimer's in elderly population.
