Many of us work in scientific research and spend large sums of money from his own pocket on his research without external support from the university or research center and produces wonderful research. Is this effort logically acceptable if it does not come back on the researcher any money or social position or estimate the work. Isn't this effort and time are a loss if they did not bring any benefit to the researcher?

As a matter of fact, no body work for free. Working with a subject you enjoy, the pay is definitely not money wise.
This is a great question dear Miqdam. Research and Science is like The Motorcycle Diaries Of Ernesto Che Guevara (published 1993). Leaving home for a lark on a journey we realize that science and research is part of our existence. Money and positions are essential to exist and to advance, but creativity and freedom overcome this gut-brain axis. Very difficult indeed but we cannot be all employees. The payoff moral and material is on the journey.
Is it appropriate to work in the research field, if there is no payoff moral and material?
Think depending on the individual researcher's value system. The yardstick of Return Of Investment (ROI) is rather subjective for different researchers. Some researchers focusing on tangible ROI including more funding, more consulting engagements, more publications, promotion, pay rise etc. On the contrary some researchers taking contribution to knowledge regardless whether is 1 inch short or 1 mile long as their ROI.

Thank you for your valuable contribution. The value of thing such as research articles differ from one to another, that's true. However, my question was for general is it waste of time and resources if you spend them on a research work without any gain. In contrast, some times the researcher may create enemies who fight any success. Does it worth?

Yeah, it is a practical problem, particularly for those who work in private Institutions. Now-a-days, funds are sanctioned only for Govt. Institutions. After having said this, we do not mean that we should do away with research. Research should become a culture. The solution is simple: take up the research that do not demand huge expenditure, if so to a minimum extent.
Great Einstein was making money as a patent examiner with the Bern's patent office, while working on the relativity theory. He said later something like - the church of sciences would be getting catastrophically emptied, if the scientists were not paid for their job.
I can understand people who work for a minimal pay or no pay at all while doing good quality science, if they have at least a moral satisfaction. Without significant moral and material support of research scientists, a country cannot expect much achievements in this area.

As you know people do research for different reasons. However, if we exclude the normal reasons: money, social position, promotion, etc, the research still passion for researchers. Simply they enjoy. More they gave for science more they stay in humanity memory.

Thank you for your wonderful answer. So, The research work in the base is to get money, reputation, social position. If you fail to get any of these things you have to accept the interest of research. I still see the things are not in the benefits of the researchers in spite of their primary importance in the academic life and industry. When this part of the community will take what he deserve?
