When I received the best research award in the Arab world for the years 2009 to 2014,. I felt the resentment and anger of my colleagues even though this award did not have a financial or literary return. What is the opinion of my dear colleagues about winning a scientific award and what are the rewards they expect from the competition for international prizes?

I think that professional jealousy among researchers is the human nature that exists between academics and researchers. So winning some of the prize means the loss of others and may think that this award of his right.

If you have received a world award and there is no reaction from others (anger, jealousy..etc) your prize has no value. The value of your price is directly connected with the jealousy and anger of others unfortunately. You can't do anything, it's human nature. But there are people who admire your effort and in the depths of their hearts there is no anger or jealousy. Maybe they want to be like you. It's their right to dream. I dream to be like you.

I fail to understand why we all are so obsessed with the emotions of others.
Sir, with due respect, I would just say, why to get affected by others?
If I were at your place, I would be happy, satisfied and content with what I have achieved. I am sure, you are what I just mentioned, but, why to connect emotions of others in this context here? You did your research work not to gain appreciation but to contribute something vital and important to your country and the research domain, right? Your prizes, your achievements, your awards, your best of things are for YOU and you are getting these because you did something really meaningful for your country!
I am sure you must have contributed something really big and extraordinary to your country as you have achieved the best researcher award for that. But, why to even pay heed to people who get envious of you, or to people who don't budge an inch regarding your work?
I am really happy for you and I pray to the Almighty SWT to bless the research field with best minds on Earth like you! :)

I think that to obtain a national or international recognition is an incentive to continue researching, it is a small step forward that in some occasions serves to continue with a project or achieve more collaborations

Thank you for your valuable contribution. When we do any research work, we try our best to reach the best results and do not thinking at this stage about dazzle or impress anyone. The entry of scientific competitions is a way of introducing ourselves and our work to others in addition to measuring our true level globally. When you win a prize, everyone expects praise and thanks. When the contrary happens, it will certainly be displeased because we are human beings and part of human nature is the love of honor. I do not imagine, for example, the victory of a country team in the World Cup, and then when he arrived to his country land his victory will be lured, as well as for the researcher he needs to be praised that gives him a push to continue good work.

I congratulate you for getting a scientific rewards which consider big honor for an every single researcher.
Some people unfortunately have a desire of the extreme negative competitions and can be frustrated.
Prizes sometimes might not go to the right place in many contests and thats way make many people believing of the chances. However, everybody should accept his deserve and luck nicely, and should be pleased for his coleagues when they achieve or win somethings otherwise, he or she may have seen as a negative person.
The creative and researcher while working hard and awareness of head so to the reader. You may receive either award, a type of material reward that prove to him that he deserves for his efforts and participation in the development of creativity or research. But the material reward alone is not enough for the creator or the real researcher. It is looking to her for another reward: the moral reward that comes to him from the reader.
