As the dependent variable I have political participation (multiple regression).

Independent is precarity scale and status inconsistency (VIF 1).

I have interactions of the independent variables with political powerlessness and political participation. But they now suddenly have a high VIF of 38 and 45. I think this is normal because there are interactions.

And my control variables are age and gender (VIF 1 or below).

So is this multicollinearity with the interaction terms a problem? My guess is no.
