Hi all,

I am conducting an experiment to screen for bacterial IAA production, with Salkowski's reagent acting as the indicator. My samples have to be incubated for 5 days before Salkowski's reagent is added, then I measure the solution at 530nm. However, the maintenance of the UV-VIS prevents me from measuring the OD530nm on day 5 of my experiment, which I believe is a big problem. Can I centrifuge the bacterial culture, collect the supernatant, store it in the dark, and wait for 2 days before adding the Salkowski's reagent and measuring the samples? (wait for 2 days because then I can use the UV-VIS)
