Lyophilization of RNA is included among the options for sending RNA samples to a leading NGS service provider, Novogene (https://en.novogene.com/support/sample-preparation/). I could not find enough literature about suitability of RNA shipment as lyophilized sample for RNA-Seq. We have the lyophilizer in our lab, but RNAstable kit is hard to find and not the cost effective option for us. We routinely send lyophilized DNA sample for NGS and it works fine. Has anyone experienced shipping the lyophilized RNA at room temperature to commercial sequencing companies? Please share your experiences. Thanks.
