There is a recent report that cockroaches are now refusing eating poison-laden food, specially containing-sugar substrates. And the explanation was that they have developed a kind of genetic modification that sends messages through neurons to the brain for aversion of the poison . can this be called evolution/speciation and couldn't this mutation lead to disastrous implication to mankind? Can this be even related to the effects of climate changes on insects?
Of course the sepeciation in animals and plants explain the bioidiversity in our planet. The speciation occur frecuently in natural populatioin in very differents forms. Below the Neodarwinism the speciation is a very slow process, however thwe last evidences in population genetics shows that the speciation is more rapid that we thinking
