In my opinion, that depends on the population density that is infected, if that density is very high the chances that there are particular viruses in the air increase. But normally that shouldn't be the case
Ever since the new coronavirus was identified, there has been a debate about whether it is airborne or not. Now, over 200 scientists from around the world have written to the World Health Organization urging it to consider the potential of COVID-19 to be airborne, and thus spread much more easily than we thought.
According to current evidence, COVID-19 virus is primarily transmitted between people through respiratory droplets and contact routes. In an analysis of 75,465 COVID-19 cases in China, airborne transmission was not reported.
There are a lots of controversy over the issue but its true community transmission is there and standard precautionary measures must be ensured to prevent further transmission of the virus.
The COVID-19 infection is transmitted by people carrying the virus. The disease can be spread from person to person through respiratory droplets expelled from the nose or mouth when a person coughs or sneezes.
These droplets can persist for some time on objects or surfaces around the person in question. An infection with COVID-19 can occur if you touch these objects or surfaces and then touch your eyes, nose or mouth. COVID-19 can also be contracted by inhaling droplets from a sick person who has just coughed or sneezed. This is why it is important to keep a distance of more than two meters from a sick person and to respect basic hygiene measures.
There is a mounting claim now that Coronavirus remains airborne indoors and infect those nearby. However, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has resisted such claims. According to a report by NYT, hundreds of scientists have said that there is evidence that smaller coronavirus particles in the air can infect people. They have called for the World Health Organization to revise recommendations.
Airborne transmission is defined as the spread of an infectious agent caused by the dissemination of droplet nuclei (aerosols) that remain infectious when suspended in air over long distances and time. COVID 19 has capability to spread through air.
Dear all, it is this features that makes it distinct and special among the previous versions. In fact, air long lasting is behind its wide and ease spreading. My Regards

Yes. A passer-by when breathing expels humidity full of virus, which remains hovering in the air for some time. If you are unlucky and breath this mixture you have won the first number of the lottery. This is why we have to wear properly the mask. God bless us all.
It is possible that COVID-19 may spread through the droplets and airborne particles that are formed when a person who has COVID-19 coughs, sneezes, sings, talks, or breathes.
