Bacterial blight of rice is a serious disease which lead to the yield loss in many countries, So many researches and so many resistant varieties have been put forth , I am planning to work on this disease. Is it really worth to do this, or it is just a myth that this disease is present even today?

Then I also have another question: is it really a seed borne? I have read so many papers but its very confusing to arrive a conclusion

I also want to know about the pathovars associated with the Xanthomonas oryzae.
