I use Pierce assay for protein estimation using a spectrometer and want to try using nanodrop for the same to increase the efficiency and use less amount of sample.
It worker out very good in my hands. If you have experience using a spectrometer, it is basically the same, just use 1.5 ml epp tube and smaller volume.
@zengli Gao: what is your rxn mix? i used the 1:15 ratio ie 10ul of protein and 150 ul of reagent. I have a high deviation. So was wondering if I am doing something wrong
I had good experiences when I used nanodrop. I guess that the high deviation you are observing could be because of a low protein concentration. What are the level of your measures?
Agree with Hector that big deviation could be due to low protein amount. Try to use regular protocol instead of quick protocol works better on low concentration samples. best luck
