I know the terms I've used are fairly general but that's because I'm struggling to find much research looking at Ascorbic acid/ related chemical forms being used for marine ornamental aquaculture.
I'd be very interested in getting thoughts about this topic or any links/ information which you think might help.

Yes Vitamin C we were using in the pellet feed of large aquaculture field particularly to the shrimp aquaculture.We were adding the cod oil with vitamin c and were soaking overnight and were distributing on the next day in the grow out ponds.It helps the immunity of prawn and was avoiding the common bacterial diseases and also increasing the diet of the prawns.So I guess the same you may give to the ornamental fishes also with smaller number of fishes to observe their response.
