Dear Sriramakrishnan,

As far as I know, the Brain web is the most common normal brain dataset with ground truth then the IBSR one. Beside these two, I have not seen any other dataset used in all publications I read. However, you can use atlas with thresholding operation to extract the white and gray matters, and the cerebrospinal fluid.

Many atlases are available online such as the MNI atlas and ICBM atlas.
