I'm trying to set the microscope and cameras up in order to record VSD signals from rodent cortical slices stained with voltage-sensitive dyes (DI-4-ANEPPS; RH1691). I would appreciate any suggestion or comment regarding light source, how to avoid/reduce noise, or how to analyze the signals with Neuroplex.

It depends on your interest. We use Ca2+ sensors for imaging Calcium signals using two photon. From my experience, you can go to smaller one. About the light source, a laser diode would be best suited. Here are couple of links for your help.
