Hi there,
I am planning an experiment to isolate the ER protein fraction from a cell culture. I have found a few commercially available kits, such as
https://inventbiotech.com/collections/cell-fractionation-protein-trafficking/products/minute%E2%84%A2-er-enrichment-kit and https://www.novusbio.com/products/endoplasmic-reticulum-enrichment-kit_nbp2-29482. However, after reviewing some recently published papers, I have noticed that most researchers use a combination of Dounce Homogenizer, mannitol/sucrose resuspensions, and ultracentrifugation to isolate these fractions. Can you provide feedback on a reliable ER fractionation protocol or kit that minimizes the risk of cross-contamination between fractions?
Thank you very much!
