Anyone have experience in preparing Graphene or Graphene oxide paper? I have read through certain journal about the procedure, most of the journal mentioned that filter the dispersion after sonication process and can obtained the paper. However, I have tried about it. But after I filter, the precipitate already crack instead of form a flat surface. Can someone help me about this?
It could be too dry, so try taking it off before it dries completely. Another thing could be that you have many graphite/graphitic material still in your GO making it easy to break.
use a higher concentration of GO for film preparation. You need to have sufficient amount of GO in the film to prevent the cracking. Otherwise, you can make GO film by other methods such as evaporation of water by heating the GO dispersion. this process can make a thin film on the surface of GO dispersion. in another method, you can put 10mg/ml GO dispersion in a glass petri dish and keep in an oven at around 50 deg centigrade overnight. slow evaporation of water will lead to the formation of GO film.

Hi Dhrubajyoti Bhattacharjya, by referring to journal, the concentration that I am using to prepare graphene paper is 3mg/ml. I have tried with water and also DMF solution. However, the end product still having cracking problem. ACtually I am trying to make graphene paper instead of graphene film.
