We dabbled a bid with growing papaya cuttings papaya. We looked at cutting size, different mediums , water regimes and commercial root stimulants.

We find it difficult to keep the temperature below 35C and the humidity high. We are using heating cables to keep the temperature higher than 20C (+-25) at the root zone.

We are using clean, filtered water and reverse osmosis.

Our biggest problem is rooting. Few cuttings will root in within 21-days and others are still alive with good callus growth but no rooting. Will tissue culture techniques (chemistry) help to solve the problem?
