I don't think the answer may be change length of chain. I supose PVDF is a fixed polymer. The properties mean glycobiology? Or maybe substances like isopropyl or alcohol. Which is its solvent?

Among common solvents, DMF, DMSO, Methyl Ethyl Ketone, THF, 1,4−Dioxane, and uncommon, less used solvents, N−methyl−2−pyrrolidinone (NMP), Hexamethyl phosphoramide (HMPA) can be tried, if you have already used Acetone, the frequently used solvent for the purpose.

The dipolar aprotic category of solvents can dissolve PVDF: Dimethylacetamide (DMAc), N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) Dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), Hexamethylphosphoramide (HMPA), N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NMP),Triethylphosphate (TEP), Ttrimethylphosphate (TMP), and tetramethylurea (TMU).

Dibutyl sebacate (DBS), Diethyl carbonate (DEC), Dihydrolevoglucosenone (Cyrene), N,N −dimethylformamide (DMF), Propylene carbonate (PC) and Tetrahydrofuran (THF) can also be used to dissolve PVDF.
