At present there is a high competition among different media groups. Their objective has changed from reporting news to creating news. For survival, they are trying everything possible and create spicy and sensational news. They even intrude into the privacy of celebrities and VIPs for creating news.
Visual media is more under pressure than other media. TV channels need to present minute to minute updates without making the viewers bored. The TV channels have to ensure viewership to them so that their revenue through advertisements can be generated. Then only they can survive in this competitive world.
News papers and magazines get the whole day or a fixed time to present themselves before public and hence have a reasonable time to choose the content they are to present before the readers. So they are facing comparatively less pressure.

I would consider, from a political education point of view, a mixture of the available media to be the most preferable. Each one has it's own inherent necessities and biases. To develop an elaborated view of any phenomenon, even in everyday life, I would like to point out the need for multiple viewing points to reduce the risk of being misinformed
To me is Internet because it serves as an "on demand news provider" when I need it where I need it. Moreover, it saves times (click & scroll only, lowest latency of news delivery lead time etc.), costs (almost free when I already have a browser & Internet link) & provides various sources for my verification / comparison on a particular news.
