Hello, Dear colleagues!

I have a question. I want to try suppressive potential of Tregs from mice of different genotypes. As one of the models I think to try is inhibition of lymphopenia induced expansion of T-cells, similar to this - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3049949/

Usually people use RAG KO or SCID mice as recipients.

I have limited access to RAG1 KO mice, so I wonder if irradiation-induced lymphopenia (for example, 5 Gy) can work? As I understand principally both models have lymphopenia, either chronic (RAG KO) or acute (irradiation). Although it's not the same, but may irradiation work? After all it induces acquisition of memory phenotypes in CD8 T-cells.
