The first step of ELISA is to coat plate with antibody (sandwich ELISA) or antigen(ELISA).

How does the antibody or the antigen bind to the plastic plate? According to some website, it is said that antibody/antigen bind to the plate via charge interaction. Does that mean the plastic plate have +/- charge that can interact with the -/+ charge of antibody/antigen??? What is the force of the binding?
