In electrospinning after depositing nanofibers on Al foil, after how much time the foil can be taken out from the mandrel? Can we keep it on mandrel for some time to get the collected mesh solidified?
You can take out the foil out of the collector just after the collection of NFs material on the collector. But in some cases if the temperature conditions are not given and the collected mesh is somewhat not pure solidified you have to process it through some temp. Condition or leave it in room temperature unless it gets solidified.
Here is a recent paper of mine in which i have fabricated electrospun nfs at room temperature and the whole process have been given over there. i hope it would help you

almost After 2 hour you can removed your nanofiber from foil, it's better if you dry at room temperature for 24 hour in which your all solvent will be evaporate..
There is no problem in taking out the Al foil just after finishing the electrospinning ,Sometimes it is recommendable to leave it for at least one hour when you have mixed some metal ions with polymer otherwise if your electrospinning process is done smoothly and fiber deposited well ,then it will be in dry form already ,you can take it out and peel it off the Al foil.
in most cases it doesn`t matter how long you wait, if the ES conditions for the particular solvent-polymer system are optimized carefully. The most important is what kind of polymer you used and what particular solvent.
If the solvent is volatile enough, or the distance between the fiber generator and the collector is long enough, so the solvent have time to fully evaporate during the fibers formation and further travel to the collector, - the formed fibers will be collected already dry. It works for all the types of the electrospinning designs and collectors. But still depends on the particular system solvent-polymer.
In other words - if you optimize the ES process to obtain already dry fibers (it can be detected if you don`t see any changes in the macroscopic morphology of the fibrous mat), you can remove them right after the ES process.
Also keep in mind, that ES of hygroscopic polymers may be tricky due to the possible damaging of the formed fibrous mats by the air moisture or even by the moisture of the skin (if manipulating with bare hands).
