Hi, the tool to be heated is made of low carbon steel. It is heated by a few coils. Now, the relative permeability mu_r is 100 for low carbon steel. Now if I change the mu_r slightly high. I get a higher temperature in the tool. I assume it is because the magnetic field can penetrate easily and induce emf more. Is this correct? What exactly happens when the mu_r is getting high. Any suggestions appreciated thank you
