I want to calculate ion transport concentrations while giving a mechanical deformation. I do not even know if it should be stationary or time dependent. My force and in essence displacement is not time dependent just a fixed value. There should be migration and convection in the Nernst Planck equations.
I am trying to learn to model some polymers in comsol, in the Transport Properties section, there are Model inputs which I do no know what to enter. For example for the velocity field u I am not sure what to enter. Should they be variables like Vx and Vy or u and v or just leave them as zero! I do have convection. Therefore, it should not be zero, but I am not sure if I put any variable there it confuses with other parts, like displacement or deformation field.

To avoid confusion, work with the stationary first. The Velocity is important in the transport of dilute species. I suggest, to do literature survey to clear your doubts and to study the parameters requirement.
The velocity (Migration and convection terms) in the equation has nothing to do with stationary or time dependent study. It will be there regardless. The partial derivative of C to time will be zero if it is stationary.
velocity should always be the solution of Navier-Stokes eqs + continuity eq.
