In Alkaline solution why the green colour is not stable?

Adding Green Colour to the Alkaline Liquid (Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Carbonate and acid slurry - PH value around 9 to 10). The liquid colour changes to dark brown after 2 days. Is there anyway we can make the colour stable?
