Hello everyone,
I have already written some abaqus creep subroutines in fortran. Although I havent used ansys yet, my goal is to write subroutines independent of abaqus or ansys and it should be able to run on both platforms. Has anyone got an idea how to do it or have implemented such concept already?

I have previously written a user subroutine of Abaqus. As far as I know, Abaqus' user subroutines need to pass data from/to the main program, so they (such as user subroutine"CREEP") must be written in a strictly written format. These formats are not applicable in Ansys.

There is a number of subroutines in both Abaqus and ANSYS which have comparable functionalities and even similar lists of arguments. This is particularly true for some user material subroutines. In the simplest case, you either have to adjust the list of arguments of your subroutine (as we did), or program a wrapper doing the same job. Hope this helps.
