I am working role of Corruption on economic development of the country? All existing studies which I found are based build indexes, mainly based on secondary data.
I would like to measure the role of corruption on economic development via survey to be filled government officials.

I'm part of an organisation called Anti Corruption International, and we've tried to grapple with this problem many times - and the challenge we always found was it's just so difficult to measure quantitatively, but we did work on conceptualising a "cost of corruption" indices, which was essentially like a meta-analysis of a variety of sources - I'd be happy to share what we have if you can shoot me an email:

Peace: In my eyes, I first look at the extent of the corruption of the sovereignty of a country. Also, the level of monitoring of people and the strength of civil society in that country.If this core feature is ignored. And let's forget that rents and corruption are two sides of a coin, and it grows in societies with popular monitoring and weakness of civil society and lack of protection of the law from civil society.
And from fundamental studies in the political structures, the problem solving can be eliminated, even when it comes to reliable statistics, but when real weakness is recognized, people need to be aware of and act civicly to solve it.
