Im working on a pectin starch hydrogel, however I can't reach to a specific control protocol where I can make sure the hydrogel matrix is safe for bacterial cells encapsulation and the hydrogel is not too thick. Also, I want to avoid air bubbles. Kindly suggest a good temperature and rpm for hydrogel. The crosslinker is calcium chloride.
first consider seeking plenty of references since the mixture and the degree of polymerization might vary from one work to another, for having a uniform mixture and a fair gel of starch as you might have seen there is an urge to increase the temperature but for pectin there is not that necessity to increase the temperature hence by searching you could get probably the desired mixture and density of the hydrogel that you need, for your next question you do not need to set your steerer too high as I told to give the polymers some time and my advice is to start to dissolve both polymers in the proper amount and then add them to each other with respect of your cross-linker these polymers dissolve with ease no need to high sheer though
