It's just vanity to use all our energies in working while failing to make time for ourselves to enjoy the life we toil for. The advice is: make time for rest and recreation; for family and for God. That makes life worth living and enjoyable.
If you work for a living, why do you kill yourself working?
Because there are 2 types of people:
Work to Live - work hard enough just to generate income to pay all the expenses / debts.
Live to Work - this type of people is on the extreme that have the passion to work i.e. work is their entire life or work only gives meaning to their life.
Some people might started off as "Work to Live" but can change to "Live to Work". Net net work life balance is needed.
It's innate, especially for men, it's the unemployment that kills! There is a pleasure that feels through fatigue. At the same time one suffers from fatigue, and at the same time one rejoices!
In heavenly religions, Adam was created to tire for his living!
Effective and enjoyable work is a way of living. Just know how to dose and interweave religious moments, leisure and sociability in your life for this completeness.
Before the invention of money; work was utilized as a service. Because of that; people used to enjoy working hard. Now; most people work for salary. Of course; it is different and people feel stress and its consequences.
Living is necessary for life for your family & to offer the question of bread,butter & education for the children . However you can not afford to be workaholic as we should remember our childhood so to say idiomatic phase '' All work & no play make Jack a dull boy ''.
Careful planning by keeping a time for us in contemplation for our day to day observation for introspection is necessary & with this also we all also to spend the time for our children,family ,& for our social surrounding .
It would be ideal if your job is enjoyable all of the time. However, being pragmatic one has to deal with bureaucracies , coworkers and the Administration that pose significant impediments to your daily activities at work. Obviously one has a choice to quit the job and find something else which may not always be easy. Thus, based on a cost-benefit analysis despite difficulties at work you may get more out of your job compared to the hassles and so you stay with it - there may be many othe reasons too such as a steady income, health benefits, etc. It does not mean that you have to kill yourself doing your job. Are you trying to impress someone? If so being a workaholic is not the answer.
Work requires commitment If you do not work properly lose your work and work like I said to live not only for me but for the family that I want to live in dignity so we fight for it
