The Higgs Field which Peter Higgs won the Nobel Prize for, was invented by him in the 1960's to explain the production of the mass of the electron, as soon as it was produced from the Unitary (Unitary is a word used to describe the Reversible Nature of Quantum Mechanics) Energy Field (An Electron-Positron field is produced). Sorry, I was hoping someone who was really knowledgeble of the recent theories of the Higgs and the Graviton would bite on this Question, and I have a trick answer to it myself, in case they did.

Is temperature "composed of unitary entities" ?

Though temperature and entropy are local statistical emergences, exactly as the space-time is.

In science, QM is not at all an autonomous entity, it is only a subdomain of the microphysics, the subdomain where at least the absorber or the emitter of a radiation is held by quantic rules on the final and initial stationary states. As found in 1926 by Erwin Schrdinger, following an idea written in 1924 by Louis de Broglie.

Jacques, of course Temperature is a measurement. Now measurement is a touchy subject in Quantum Mechanics, as the question is; How is that different than time-evolution of the Possibility Function (Psi)? I am going to stick my neck out and claim that Measurement is different, in that it introduces a nonreversible Time into Psi, in that all measurements produce entropy. I am going to introduce my own theory to explain this. I am going to claim that Positrons, that are produced in pairs with Electrons, in a vacuum when there is sufficient energy available, evaporate and turn into "Space-Time" itself. Now the Higgs field will immediately give a mass to the Electron, and apparently a different type of mass to the evaporating Positron, which I am going to claim is a "Hole". We know that the "Hole" produces a current becasue we measure it in Semiconductors. The way it does this, is that when the Positron moves backward in time (Feynman), it produces a ghost particle that move forward, in that there has to be a conservation of probabilities when you square Psi. The probability current has to be conserved. So when the Positron disappears backward into time its ghost (which is Psi) has to go forward, so the Possibilities are always greater in an expanding Space-Time, even though the Probability Current is conserved. So there you have the kernel of Space-Time and Quantum Mechanics all in one. So Temperature when it is measured has to produce a "Hole". So there, an addition to Schrodinger and de Broglie. But also a testable explaination of three mysteries of Physics: 1. Where does Antimatter go?, 2. What is Space Time?, 3. What is measurement, and how is it different from Time evolution? Anyway, I need someone to nominate me for the Nobel Prize, or prove me wrong. In either case, you can see that I am probably the best Quantum Physicist of our time (at least in this small part of the subject).

So when you measure you create Psi (Yes, that Psi, the Possibilities from the Schrodinger Equation, one way or another you have to be creating space-time when you measure) as well as measure a probability.

So is the Wigner-Neumann animist postulate :

"Me, Myself and I, as a big macrophysical animal, self-claimed as the observer, I am so almighty that I have the power to delay forever the absorption reactions and the consecutive decoherence, just by not observing! "

In opposition, Erwin Schrödinger published in 1935 the humorous apologue of the dead-alive cat, remaining in the dead-alive superposed state as long as a copenhaguist physicist does not lean his august attention on the results of the experience. Overtly, Schrödinger mocked the animist postulate that the Göttingen-copenhaguists admitted; but they remain so arrogant, that eighty-three years later they still do not perceive the sarcasm.

All the marketing hype promising marvelous quantic computers is founded on the Wigner-Neumann animist postulate.

Jacques, It seems that a group at MIT claims that they have solved the problems in Quantum Computing. It seems, from what they say, the big breakthrough occurred in 2017, when the "error checking" problem was overcome. I had spent several years, perhaps a decade, writing error checking programs for Classical Computers, such as CRCs, LRCs , Parities, etc. Claude Shannon, wrote his Master's thesis on ways of checking errors and it is a good read to go through his work and the evolution of the Algorithms afterward. It seems that if you use reversible gates (Fredkin, is a good example, and a very interesting person, as it seems he is the only Professor at MIT, that not only has no College Degree, but did not graduate from Highschool, at least that is the rumor---which is something I have always suspected--you know, that it is the drive that makes the person, not the college--although you have to admit, MIT has had a lot of breakthroughs). Anyway, the other breakthrough was a change in how QM works, that is that it is a field theory based on Unitary Entities. I feel really energized by that discovery, as I had already predicted that, but it is better to have a machine that works on that principle, as then many people can confirm its workings. So Quantum Computers, seem to be here to stay, although I want to use them myself, before I am totally sold on them.
