I am graduating from business school as part of my med school program in two weeks. I'm working on a paper with a team that will be ready to submit for publication this week. Most likely, I will actually have my degree by the time the manuscript is in front of a reviewer, and definitely by the time it's published. Is it permissible for me to include my MBA in the author's section since I will have it before publication, or am I required to leave it off because I do not officially have the degree at the time of submission?
You are graduating with an MBA however you have to wait for the total results(Theory + Project ) marks.You can write appearing.
You can add as MBA Final Year. It will be helpful for you to add MBA as affiliation detail. Otherwise wait for result as you told it will out just in two week.

I agree with Dr. Madhukar Baburao Deshmukh and Mr. Akash Gupta . Actually you can't add it because you do not officially have the MBA degree at the time of submission. But you may write to publisher when you will get the degree.

Usually papers do not list author qualifications, so it's not an issue :)
You cannot include it because the degree is yet to be awarded. However, there are instances where you can indicate in parenthesis to show that the said degree is in view for other reasons, but not for this case
I have seen others adding “in progress” or “candidate”. But I agree that such title is yet to be conferred - so a bare claim of MBA has no factual basis.
You can put “pending” in parentheses in the cover letter of submission and put the month and year after that word. It will likely take a few weeks to be accepted or rejected, and by then you will almost certainly have the degree. The publication may require changes and you can drop the parenthetical construct when you make the changes.
I will suggest that you should not add because the degree has not been awarded. That is not the only paper you have to publish as a scholar. After the degree is awarded you, all your papers can carry it. Thanks!

I just have a suggestion for you. It is better to not claim anything that you cannot prove to have acquired. When the degree will be awarded to you, then only you can claim it. You can say that now you are pursuing MBA in the final semester/ segment.
