For a moderately asymmetric distribution mean, median and mode satisfy an empirical relationship. From this empirical relationship, if any two of mean, median and mode are known then the third one can be determined. A distribution may not have mode i.e. the observations in a distribution may be distinct. Now, if a distribution has no mode then what can be concluded about the empirical relationship among mean, median and mode ?
