I'm almost finishing my doctorate in Science and Technology Policy Graduate Program at Department of Science and Technology Policy (DPCT) from University of Campinas (Unicamp). And my thesis theme analyzes patterns of collaborations of naval engineering researchers in Brazil. Based on Social Network Analysis, I use co-authoring data from scientific publications (obtained from the Web of Science and Curriculum Lattes databases) to observe the movement of the actors. I would you like to know what kind of collaboration you are mapping?

There are several kinds of scientific collaborations, between the academia and the industry R&D (for instant, between academia researchers and patents creators) , between scientists in the same institution, or different institutions inside the country, or international collaboration with scientists from abroad, and also collaboration among scientists from different disciplines, related or distant.
The experimental data recorded from our engineering designed system for a particular research having few concrete objectives is taken as valuable data for the analysis.
I consider all published data in quality journals and conferences.
