Your observations are right.

You can find the seralogical Bw4 motif in a lot of HLA-A, B and C alleles, and not only in a lot of HLA-B and HLA-A*23/24/25/32 alleles.

This is known.

And not all members of the HLA-A*23/24/25/32 group carry a Bw4 motif.

The serological motif can be:

Bw4 (aa 77-83) = DLRTLLR, SLRTLLR, NLRIALR, NLRTALR and SLRTALR ...

The role of the interaction of the Bw4 on HLA-A and HLA-C alleles with KIR alleles like, KIR3DL1, is controversial discussed and not clear now!

Important are the interactions between the Bw4 on HLA-B alles and KIR alleles, like KIR3DL1 !

A definitive list of HLA-A alleles which can interact with KIR with their serological Bw4 motif did not exist!

In a theoretical view, every Bw4 motif on HLA-A, B and C molecules should interact with the KIR3DL1 receptor on NK cells.

As I said to you, it is not clear, if the interaction between the HLA-A Bw4 motif with the KIR receptor KIR3DL1 on NK cells really exist,

tendentiously NOT!
