I synthesized TiO2/ZnO composites but XRD analysis was very surprised to me? In the XRD spectrum the main peak of anatase or rutile did not seen and it contains only ZnO characteristic peaks. what could be this reason. I would be glad if you help me. Thank you
According to what you observed, it seems that composite ZnO-TiO2, was not formed. In addition you may also carried out chemical analysis in other to check whether the composite product is obtained. For more useful comments, can you provide the patterns of your composite and the starting materials? Also, You may give the description of the preparation method.
I think composite has not been synthesized. But I can suggest you is that you can play with the TiO2 concentration.
How did you prepare the TiO2/ZnO composite? Did you first prepare TiO2 and then ZnO? We reported a facile process to fabricate TiO2/ZnO nano-heterostructure and we found XRD peaks for both TiO2 and ZnO. You may check that.

Maybe you have texture in your samples or TiO2 phase is amorphous or noncrystalline so you get just very broad background peaks
You can increase the ratio of TiO2 in your composites. Or you can increase the calcination temperature to fulfill the crystallization of TiO2. Please double check your raw material before mixing both material.
I suggest dissolving the ZnO by using a acid measuring the residual before and after calcination by XRD. In this way you see if TiO2 is present (amorphe or crystalline).
