If you are trying to coat the NPs with clay as a core shell structure, yes, you must take into account, as a limit, the water solubility of your clay. And yes, the dose will affect the size, shape and final nanocomposite properties.
'Nanopowder' is an oxymoron. Powders with primary particles < 100 nm will cold sinter or fuse (solid-solid diffusion) into an aggregation of sub- ad post-micron materials. To preserve the 'nano' nature of the particles then the system must be kept in colloidal form and not dried or filtered.

It is an interesting question. In my opinion, it is important to have specific ratio of both the nanoparticles to prepare a nanocomposite. In order to explore any application using this nanocomposite, the efficiency will always depend on the amount of nanoparticles present in the composite material. However, you may have to use some kind of linker or spacers to make a core shell structure. Simply mixing the dry nanoparticles with clay may not yield a composite material. Thus, it must be done in solution form.

Thank you all for your valuable response. If i try to incorporate in situ clay and nano-particles solutions first after that will prepare its suspension by adding water, is there any possibility that nano-particle or its chemical property may get effected or damaged? If I try to reflux the whole mixer, in hat temperature I should reflux it ?
