These are existing models of which their equations are known. All one has to do is to subject the kinetic data to the models, calculate the unknown values and do the regression analysis. Based on that the adsorption process can be justified.
Various review papers have been written on that aspect. You can easily fallow and grasp the knowledge.
As one can easily guess, you are going to describe the kinetic data of batch adsorption using one of the empirical functions mentioned: exponential, hyperbolic, composition of exponential and power functions, logarithmic and power functions. Just use the nonlinear method, i.e. select the measure of fit (objective function) and the method to minimize it.
