I have trouble lysing my A549 cells for polysome profiling?

I have tried to lyse my A549 cells for polysome profiling. I collect 5 150mm plates about 80-90% and have tried many conditions, but I can't get more than 5 OD260 units. With the same protocols I have successfully lysed many other cell lines with OD260 units over 20. Has anyone faced the same problem? What protocols do you use?
